BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Bethune-Cookman Women's Basketball junior
Asianae Nicholson was voted to the All-Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Second Team announced Monday evening by the league office from its headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama. The All-SWAC Team is voted on by the league's sports information directors and head coaches.

Nicholson, a 5-foot-10 forward from South Euclid, Ohio, finished the season ranked second nationally for double-doubles, finishing the regular season with 21. She also finished the regular season portion of the schedule registering a double-double in the last 11 consecutive contests. Additionally, she led the league in rebounding (350) and rebounds per game (11.7).

The Brush High alum also finished the year in the top 20 of the SWAC for blocked shots (17) and steals (45).

In terms of B-CU, Nicholson accounted for a team-leading 381 points (12.7 per game) shooting 44.6 percent from the field, adding 38 assists as well.

As a team, Bethune-Cookman earned the No. 7 seed for the SWAC Basketball Tournament and will face off against No. 10 seed Prairie View A&M on Tuesday, March 11, at 11 a.m. The game will take place at Gateway Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
