Trey Thomas has been named Southwestern Athletic Conference Player of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday from its headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama. It is his fifth weekly honor of the 2024-25 season
Thomas led the way again offensively in a pair of wins over the weekend for Bethune-Cookman over conference No. 1 seed Southern and Grambling State. He scored a total of 47 points on 16-30 shooting with four threes, six rebounds, two steals, and five assists.Â
This marks the ninth honors for the 2024-25 Wildcats. Thomas leads B-CU with five weekly awards on the year, ahead of teammate
Brayon Freeman with three.  Thomas was last named Newcomer of the Week on February 25.
 The Wildcats will look to lock up the SWAC's No. 3 seed as they host Florida A&M for the 2024-25 regular season finale on Saturday, March 8. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m. at Moore Gymnasium.Â
