BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Another dominant performance means another weekly award for B-CU outside hitter Alaya Rhodes as she has been named SWAC Offensive Player of the Week for the first time this season.

The conference revealed the weekly award winners Tuesday evening from its headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama. Bethune-Cookman has earned five awards as a team this season, with four of them going to Rhodes.

The junior out of Memphis was virtually unstoppable against Florida A&M despite the loss. She finished the game with a career-high 26 kills on a .333 attack percentage.

She also led the team with 16 digs, giving her a ninth double-double on the season, and had two block assists and one block solo.

Rhodes will look to keep things rolling as the Wildcats continue their SWAC schedule with two more home matches this weekend. Friday's game against Alcorn will begin at 6 p.m. at Moore Gymnasium.
