Lathika Krishna and
Mia Bernier each carded top-20 finishes as the Wildcats finished up the Alabama State Spring Classic, on Tuesday, March 10 at Arrowhead Country Club.
B-CU finished 7th out of seven teams in the event with a team score of 325-333-333=991 (+127). Howard took first in the event with a 291-290-298=879 (+15), handily clearing host Alabama State. The Hornets finished second with a 318-317-311=946 (+82).
Howard fielded the top three individual finishers on the week, led by Lena Durette, who finished with a 75-71-73=219 (+3).
For the third straight week in the spring,
Lathika Krishna was B-CU's top golfer, shooting a 79-82-77=238 (+22), tying her for 16th in the field of 42 golfers.
Close behind was
Mia Bernier, who finished 19th with a 80-82-81=243 (+27)
Finishing in 30th was
Lana Bowen, who carded rounds of 85-84-87=256 (+40), followed by
Sanai Lambert's 81-92-88=261 (+45) and
Skylar Kew's 89-85-97=271 (+55)
The Wildcats will head to their final event before SWAC Championships as they travel to Macon, Georgia for the Brickyard Collegiate hosted by Mercer on Monday, March 30.
