BATON ROUGE, La. — B-CU track & field will travel to the campus of Southern University to compete at the 2026 SWAC Outdoor Championships at A.W. Mumford Stadium. The event begins Sunday at 10:30 a.m. EST with men's and women's mult-events and concludes on Tuesday with the men's and women's 4x400 relay.
Andrew Kiplagat capped off his historic regular season in the Maroon and Gold with yet another program record, this time in the 5000 Meter at this weekends East Coast Relays hosted on the campus of UNF.
For the men, it was Kiplagat's record-breaking 14.22.20 in the 5000 meter the led the way as he finished first.
Also scoring a first-place finish was Michael Carter, whose 7.77m long jump was enough to top the field.
Also cracking the top three was Jaheim Hines with a 14.91m triple jump, good for third.
Anton Holland finished fifth in the hammer with a 46.11m throw.
On the women's side, the top finisher was Kasie Ugeh, who finished 10th in the discus with a 44.81m throw. Soukaina Davis finished 12th in the high jump with a 1.63m.
The 4x100 relay team had solid running, as the team of Quiandria Brown, Betina Jean, Zion Harvey, and Kayla Hopkins finished sixth with a time of 45.75.

The Wildcats will look to build on last season's championship performance, highlighted by a fifth-place finish for the men and an eighth-place showing for the women — the program's highest finish since joining the SWAC.
The championships will once again be held at A.W. Mumford Stadium, a 25,500 seat multi-purpose stadium on the campus of Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA. It opened in 1938 and is home to the Jaguars football team as well as the Southern men's and women's track and field teams.
The final day of events will be streamed live on SWAC TV, and the Men's and Women's Final Awards presentation will take place immediately following the event final.
