BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Bethune-Cookman football received its first Southwestern Athletic Conference weekly award of the season Monday, as Tre Rigby has bene awarded Special Teams Player of the Week, the conference announced from its headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama.

Rigby was unstoppable on special teams as the Wildcats dominated Stetson in their 2026 home opener. On two kickoff returns, the Ferris State transfer ran for 103 yards with a long of 73. He also picked up four total tackles, including three solo.

The Wildcats are set for game two of the homestand this Saturday as they take on Virginia Lynchburg for homecoming. The game kicks off at 4 p.m.
