TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman cross country will participate in its second meet of the season Friday morning as they travel to Tallahassee for the Florida State Pre Regional. The event is set to begin with the Men's 8k at 7:40 a.m. EST at Apalachee Regional Park.

B-CU cross country completed its first event of the season at the Florida Intercollegiate XC Invitational at Cecil Field. The Wildcat men finished seventh overall while the women finished 14th.
Junior
Andrew Kiplagat picked up right were he left off last season with another strong showing Friday. He achieved a fourth-place finish with a time of 15:01.37, finishing just one second off third.
Jayden Santos-Gonzales earned a top 20 finish for B-CU, recording a time of 15:21.19 in his first appearance with the Maroon & Gold.
Victor Chebii finished 76th at 16:27.94.
Lisel Ndlovu was the top performer on the women's side, finishing 68th with a time of 19:47.77, while
Valencia Butler was close behind at 80th (20:01.33).
Apalachee Regional Park hosted the World Cross Country Athletic Championships in 2026, marking the first time an American city has hosted the event since 1992, when the championships were held in Boston. his multi-use park includes one of the nation's few sites designed specifically for cross country running. This trail is a pristine, multi-surface course that hosts small and large running events. The facility features numerous course and distance options through the rolling hills, lowlands, and pine forests. The trail was designed to give runners the opportunity to run on several types of surfaces.
The field for this event includes 28 schools from across the state of Florida and around the southern United States.
