ELKHORN, Neb. – B-CU golf will kickstart a midwest road trip this week, beginning with the Stampede at the Creek in Elkhorn, Nebraska. Hosted by the University of Nebraska Omaha, the two-day event will be held at the Club at Indian Creek, with round one set to commence at 10:30 a.m. EST.

The Wildcats opened its fall schedule Tuesday at the SSC Warmup, hosted at Rio Pinar Country Club in Orlando, with the Wildcats finishing fifth in the five-team field.

Returning senior Lathika Krishna led the way for the Wildcats, finishing tied for 12th overall with scores of 75 and 82 for a total of 157 (+13). Her day one 75 tied her for the third-best round of anyone in the tournament field.

Newcomer Vivian Luu and sophomore Sanai Lambert finished tied for 23rd, each posting a 164 (+20) for the tournament. Mia Bernier followed in 28th place with a 170 (+26), while Hannah Butzer finished 29th at 172 (+28).

Lana Bowen rounded out the Bethune-Cookman lineup, finishing 33rd with a 183 (+39).

Host Seminole State finished claimed first in the tournament, recording a team score of +21 across the two outings.

 

This will be Bethune-Cookman's first appearance at the Stampede at the Creek. The Wildcats will compete against four other programs: Omaha, Northern Iowa, Eastern Illinois, and Iowa Western CC.

The first two rounds will be held on Monday, and the tournament will conclude with the final round on Tuesday.

The Club at Indian Creek is located just outside of Omaha and has built up a strong reputation in Nebraska and across the midwest. The course has hosted multiple professional and amateur events, and is known for its scenic landscape and premim ryegrass and bulegrass fairways.
