2016 – Redshirt Junior Season
Played in eight games and started in six, while also dealing with injury that forced him to miss almost three games… Finished the season third in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) in passing yards per game (171.2)… Completed the season second in the league for passing efficiency (139.07)… Also ended the year fifth in the conference for total offense, averaging 183.2 yards per game… Connected on 100 of his 175 passing attempts for the campaign, striking for 1,370 yards through the air… Completed 11 touchdown passes… Connected on 57.1 percent of her passing attempts… Began the year with 27 yards rushing on 14 attempts at Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) opponent North Texas… Completed 8-of-19 passes in that game for 74 yards… Played just one series against North Carolina Central, being saddled with injury for the majority of that contest… Engineered a scoring drive for the Wildcats against the Eagles in the fourth quarter, completing 2-of-4 passes for 34 yards and a touchdown… Completed a career-high 23 passes on another career-best 42 attempts, achieving 376 yards through the air and four touchdowns – both also being career-best performance marks, against North Carolina A&T... Rated as the state of Florida’s No. 3 dual-threat quarterback for the 2013 class… Two-star recruit by Rivals.com… Helped lead Village Academy to a 2012 overall record of 8-3, including a league record of 4-2… Passed for more than 2,500 yards his senior season, including 25+ touchdowns and averaging just over 235.2 yards per game through the air… Completed over 120 passes for with just four interceptions… Best game came against Benjamin HS where he netted 320 yards on 16-of-29 passing with two touchdowns, including a 90-yard completion for touchdown… Finished that game with a QB rating of 117… Was also recruited by Alabama State, FIU, Miami (Fla.), USF and West Virginia…
