2019 (Redshirt-Junior): Heron earned a Second Team All-MEAC honor after missing almost all of 2018 with injury ...  He led the team with a .398 on-base percentage and 35 runs ... In 46 starts, he held a .287 average, 10 doubles, and 18 RBI ... He drew 24 walks and had nine stolen bases in his redshirt-junior season ... The Miami, Fla. native made just one error in 95 chances.

2016 – Freshman Season
Played and started in 48 games in the outfield as a true freshman... Saw most of his time in centerfield for the Wildcats… Batted .250 on the year with 40 hits and 23 runs batted in… Pounded out a team second-best two triples, adding six doubles… Scored 18 runs… Held a .313 slugging percentage… Picked up 110 putouts and three assists for a team third-best tying .983 fielding percentage… Swiped three bases in five attempts… Laid down a team second-best matching three sacrifice bunts… Had a .341 on-base percentage… Picked up his first collegiate hit in a 6-0 shutout decision over Murray State (Feb. 20)… Claimed hits in three consecutive games from February 23-March 1… Picked up back-to-back games with a double against UCF (Feb. 23) and UW-Milwaukee (Feb. 26)… Posted his first multi-hit game with two against UCF (March 9), finishing 2-for-3 at the plate with a run scored and three RBI… Added four putouts in four attempts against the Knights… Finished the Ohio State series (April 1-3) going 4-for-11 with back-to-back multi-hit games against the Buckeyes, adding one RBI and his first career triple… Pounded out two hits in five trips at the dish in the series clinching sweep of North Carolina Central (April 24), adding two RBI a putout and an assist… Finished 2-for-4 at the plate with a season-high tying four RBI in a 6-2 victory at Stetson (April 26)… Picked up two putouts in the field in two attempts… Matched that performance with four RBI and a 2-for-5 showing at the plate, adding two putouts in the field in a victory over North Carolina A&T (May 1)… Produced a season-best seven-game hitting streak from May 10 through May 23… Batted 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a RBI, securing a season-best six putouts in the 14-4 decision over Norfolk State in the opening rounds of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Championships in Salisbury, Maryland… Did not commit an error over the course of his final 65 attempts in the field to conclude the season…

Played under head coach Eddie Doskow at Miami Southridge Senior High School… Served as a starting center fielder… Team captain during his senior season… All-district honorable mention in 2015… Also started in center field as a junior in 2014… All-district second team member… Team finished as a regional qualifier in 2014… As a sophomore, batted .300 with 22 stolen bases and 32 hits, and committed zero (0) errors…

Birth date is April 30, 1997… Son of Peter and Kandice Heron… Has three siblings – Jada (15), Jalyssa (11) and Jahdon (8)… Enjoys fishing, diving, swimming and anything with the ocean… Honor Roll student through high school… Chose to attend Bethune-Cookman because Head Coach Jason Beverlin loves to win, and Heron loves to win as well… First impression of B-CU was that it had a beautiful home baseball facility at Radiology Associates Field at Jackie Robinson Ballpark… Lists hitting three grand slams in a championship series as his favorite sports memory… Says Cam Newton is his favorite athlete because he plays hard, has style and respects the game while giving back to the community and youth… New York Yankees are his favorite sports team… Favorite television show is Power… Lists Adam Sandler has his favorite actor… Favorite musical artist is Lil Wayne… Most prized possession are his sisters…
