Biography

2019 (Senior): A preseason All-MEAC selection, Sterijevski started 47 games at shortstop and accumulated a .287 average, 46 hits, seven doubles, three homers, and 21 RBI ...  He was perfect in eight stolen base tries, and had a .944 fielding mark... The Clermont, Fla. product collected his second postseason All-MEAC honor with a Second Team All-MEAC accolade.

2018 (Junior): He moved from second base to shortstop prior to the 2018 season, and was a Second Team All-MEAC selection, finishing tied for third in the conference for hits with 63. He was also fifth in the league in walks with 29, registering a league eighth-best .430 on-base percentage across the campaign. At the dish, the Lake Minneola graduate smacked four home runs and used a .433 slugging percentage to his credit while being the second-hardest player to strikeout on the team. From his shortstop position on the field, he collected a .943 fielding percentage with 80 putouts and 137 assists.
 
2017 (Sophomore): In BCU’s 2017 championship season and his second, the starting second baseman sported  a .310 average, nine doubles, four home runs, and 33 RBI. The sophomore had a postseason to remember with eight hits and eight RBI in the Gainesville Regional. In a victory over number one Florida, Sterijevski went 4-4 and drove in four runs en route ot being named to the All-Regional team. 

2016 (Freshman):Played in 21 games as a freshman, mostly in the latter stages of the season… Picked up 18 starts, mostly at second base for the Maroon and Gold… Registered a 1.69 batting average with 10 hits in 59 at-bats… Scored nine runs… Slugged out one double, a triple and a home run with 11 RBIs… Held a .271 slugging percentage for the year… Equally held a .271 on-base percentage for the season… Performed well in the field with a team-best .991 fielding percentage, picking up 45 putouts and 67 assists with just a single error… Also pitched in eight games for the Wildcats, tossing 7.2 innings with five strikeouts against a pair of walks out of the bullpen… Collected a save with 0.1 inning worked in 1 -0 shutout of Florida Gulf Coast (March 5)… Had a 1-for-1 showing at the dish with a run scored against North Carolina A&T (March 26)… Collected a season-high matching two hits in four official at-bats, adding a double and a RBI with four assists defensively at Stetson (April 26)… Collected a season-high tying two RBIs with a run scored, walking three times and collecting three putouts and an assists against Coppin State (May 19) in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Tournament in Salisbury, Maryland… Also tallied a pair of hits with a RBI and run scored, as well as picking up his first collegiate home run against FAMU (May 23) in the MEAC Championships… Tallied a run-scoring triple, while going on to score a run against Florida (June 3) in the NCAA Gainesville [Fla.] Regional…

Full name is Nathan Alexander Sterijevski… Son of Steven and Jessica Sterijevski… Nickname is “Baby Nate”… Majoring in Sports Management… Chose to attend Bethune-Cookman because it is a prestigious university with a great baseball program known for winning… First impression of B-CU was it has a great environment for learning where teachers work with you to help you succeed… Stephen Curry is his favorite professional athlete because he works to be the best player he can be, and he makes others around him better all the time… Favorite sports team is the Chicago Cubs… Favorite movie is Stepbrothers… Tom Hanks is his favorite actor… Lists Green Eggs & Ham as his favorite book… Most prized possession is his baseball glove… Most influential people in his life are his parents… Chicken parmigiana is his favorite meal… Advice to youngsters would be “to follow your dreams”…
