Participated in all 11 games during his first year with the Maroon and Gold, making three starts at the safety position and a hybrid outside linebacker… Picked up starting jobs against Savannah State, North Carolina Central and Florida A&M, respectively… Ended the year seventh on the team with 36 total tackles (27 primary stops / 9 assisted)… Collected 2.5 tackles for loss… Stepped in front of one pass for a deflection… Began his BCU career with a pair of solo stops at Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) member Miami (Fla.)… Grabbed down three tackles (two assisted) with an assisted stop behind the line of scrimmage in the road win at Southeastern Louisiana… Pulled down a season-best four solo tackles, including a tackle-for-loss, at FBS opponent Florida Atlantic… Continued his hot start to the year with three primary stops in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) opener at Howard… Haled down two solo tackles and collected a pass breakup at North Carolina A&T… Picked up consecutive games with three tackles (two primary / 1 assisted) in home wins for the Wildcats over Hampton and Morgan State, respectfully… Tallied a season-high 11 tackles (season-best nine primary stops) in the come-from-behind win at North Carolina Central… Recorded three tackles (two assisted) in the Florida Blue Florida Classic win over in-state league opponent Florida A&M at Camping World Stadium in Orlando…

Prepped at Overlea High in his hometown of Baltimore… Finished the 2016 season at ASA with 24 solo stops against four assisted tackles… Averaged 3.1 tackles per game… Hauled in three interceptions… Returned two picks for touchdowns… Recovered one fumble…
