2016 – Sophomore Season
Held the team’s fourth-lowest earned run average for the year with a 3.67 mark… Collected a 2-0 record on the bump… Appeared in 16 games, all out of the bullpen for the Wildcats… Helped preserve a pair of shutouts… Worked a total of 27 innings on the bump… Struck out 18 batters against nine walks on the campaign… Did not allow an earned run through his first 13 innings on the mound for the year… Fanned two batters and scattered four hits in 2.2 innings tossed in a 1-0 victory over Florida Gulf Coast (March 5)… Pitched a season-long 3.2 innings at Florida A&M (March 13), allowing just three hits and fanning two with a walk against the Rattlers… Earned his first win in the first game of a doubleheader against North Carolina Central (April 23), tossing a third of an inning… Struck out two in one inning at nationally-ranked Miami (May 10), while allowing just a single hit… Collected his second win against Florida A&M (May 23) in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Championships in Salisbury, Maryland… Pitched 1.2 innings, allowing one earned run on two hits, walking one and striking out a batter… Recorded a season-high three strikeouts against Florida (June 3) in the NCAA Gainesville [Fla.] Regional…
 
2015 – Freshman Season
Used a 5.14 earned run average during his freshman year… Saw action in six games, all out of the bullpen… Combined to complete one shutout… Worked seven innings, mostly in situational and matchup scenarios… Fanned five batters and walked six on the campaign… Struck out three batters in one inning of work at Stetson (April 29), allowing just one hit… Worked a season-long two innings against Delaware State (May 15) in the MEAC Championships in Salisbury, Maryland… Did not surrender a run, allowed four hits and struck out two Hornets in that contest…

Prepped at Hialeah Senior High… Played under head coach Johnathan Hernandez… Lettered four years in baseball… In his senior year, posted an ERA of 2.67… Collected an ERA of 1.89 as a sophomore… Posted a perfect 10-0 record on the mound that year… Registered 68 strikeouts and tossed three complete games… Selected as a team captain as a senior… Second Team All-Dade County… Picked up the district Cy Young award… Aldo played basketball… Averaged nine points, three assists and two rebounds per game…

Son of Eduardo and Raquel Herrera… Mother is a sous chef at Daytona State… Enjoys playing chess, collecting baseball cards and playing video games away from the baseball diamond… Chose to attend Bethune-Cookman because of the rich tradition of baseball and the winning program… Biggest athletic thrill was going 10-0 as a sophomore… Says eating a Snickers before every game is a superstition… His older brother played on the men’s ruby team for Team USA South… Lists his favorite television shows as That 70’s Show, Martin and Family Matters… Favorite magazine is Sports Illustrated… Advice to younger athletes would be “Discipline will take you far in life”…
