Sophomore Season - 2012
Made appearances in 46 games, making starts primarily at first base (34), but also as the designated hitter (9) and at pitcher (3)...Proved to be B-CU's biggest power hitter, batting .261 with a .497 slugging percentage and 41 hits, including seven doubles, and a team and MEAC-leading 10 home runs (92nd NCAA), even with a mid-season injury keeping him out of 11 games...On the 2012 season, Stokes collected a team second-best 35 RBI...He collected 285 putouts and 11 assists, securing 15 double plays, and a .970 fielding percentage...On the mound, stokes earned a 1-0 record and tallied a 6.00 ERA in three games in relief, striking out three batters in 3.0 innings, earning one save on the year...opponents batted .308 against...Facing MEAC pitchers, Stokes batted .358 with an .811 slugging percentage, collecting three doubles and seven home runs, totaling 22 RBI...Named MEAC Player of the Week (3/19/12) for his performance in series against Harvard and North Carolina Central, batting .500 (11-of-19), hitting a pair of doubles and three home runs (1.000 slugging percentage, .560 on-base percentage), and finishing the week with 11 RBI
