Played his high school baseball at Channel Islands High School under Coach Manny Lara, as a pitcher, first baseman and outfielder…As a senior pitcher for the Raiders, his record was 3-5 with a 1.42 ERA in 59.1 innings pitched, collecting 88 strikeouts and one save…At the plate, he batted .471 with 33 hits including two home runs and 22 RBI…Earned CIHS Team MVP and was namedfirst team All-League, first team All-County and second team All-CIF, in addition to being named Ventura County Star Athlete of the Year…As a junior, Minier earned second team All-League honors…Also played basketball, earning first team All-League and All-County honors, averaging 15.5 points, 11 rebounds and two assists per game…An Honor Roll student, Minier was a Top 40 Scholar and earned the Principal’s Award

To Ramon and Jeneen Minier…He has one sibling, Miles (15)…Outside of baseball, he enjoys filming and editing movies, reading about technology and science and is interested in computers…Notes his best sports memory was his final basketball game on Senior Night during which the entire student body came with signs and t-shirts; He will never forget that he and his friends received…Chose Bethune-Cookman because he felt the coaching staff and environment will prepare him to get drafted…As part of his pregame ritual, he has a mango Gatorade, a king size Reece’s Fastbreak, Peanut Butter Twix and black cracked pepper sunflower seeds before each game…His favorite athlete is Mariano Rivera because he is what it means to be a pitcher; “he may not have the best fastball or best anything, but he has mastered one pitch that made him last in the big leagues”…Cites his parents as his biggest influence, because, “I would not be here if it wasn’t for them. They instilled the value of an education, hard word, moral beliefs and chasing your dreams in me at a young age.”…Is interested in using his degree to work as a computer engineer at the U.S. Department of Defense…He is majoring in Computer Information Systems/Engineering at Bethune-Cookman
