Prepped at Spruce Creek High School and played baseball under head coach Johnny Goodrich… Played pitcher and first base as a senior for the Hawks… Hit a grand slam against Pierson Tyler as a senior, pounding the ball out of the park in the seventh inning to give his team the lead… Finished the year 3-1 on the mound with two saves and a 1.8 ERA… Did not allow a hit through four complete innings, striking out eight against Father Lopez… Picked up the Spruce Creek Reliever of the Year award… Daytona Beach News-Journal honorable mention all-district team… All-region team member for the state of Florida by Perfect Game USA… Helped his team to the district semifinals in 2015… Turned in a 1-0 record and a 2.1 earned run average with 24 strikeouts in 2014… Team finished as district champion in his freshman year, and district runner-up as a sophomore… Also lettered in football and basketball… Played high school baseball with Kyle Marsh (UCF), Brandon Wilkes (B-CU) and Austin Hays (Jacksonville)…
