Played his high school baseball at Lake Brantley High School under Coach Eric Entrekin, playing outfielder and pitching to aid the Patriots to a 27-5 record and a Florida 8A State Championship…Batted .320 with 10 doubles, one triple and 20 RBI as a senior, sporting a .450 on-base percentage…Pitched 9.0 innings for LBHS with a 1.02 ERA…Had his best games at just the right time, batting 4-for-4 with two doubles and four RBI in a conference game vs. Winter Springs…Also went 1-for-2 with a triple and three RBI in the Regional Final vs. Olympia…Earned a Player of the Week award from the Orlando Sentinel, later picking up first team All-State honors as well…As a junior outfielder, he batted .208 with two doubles and 10 RBI, also pitching 3.0 innings with a 1.00 ERA, as LBHS went 14-12…Also played football for three years, leading LBHS to a 10-0 record as the quarterback during his junior year…Selected for the Principal’s 4.0 breakfast four times, was named Academic All-Conference and was a member of the National Honor Society

Logan Garrett Blum was born November 16, 1994 in Silver Spring, Md. to Marc and Shawn Blum…Has one sibling, Trent (16)…Outside of baseball, he enjoys playing video games, watching other sports, going to college football games and working out…Chose Bethune-Cookman because it’s close to home and he liked the coaches…As part of his pregame ritual, he eats a Publix spicy chicken sub and catches a nap…His most prized possession is his framed Randy Johnson rookie card…Cites his father as his biggest influence…Was high school teammates with current Wildcats infielder Eric Sams…Is interested in becoming the General Manager of a professional sports team and is majoring in Business Administration at Bethune-Cookman
