2015 – Junior Season
Finished the season fourth on the squad with a .279 batting average after seeing action in 24 games… Started in 18 games on the season… Pounded out 17 hits in 61 at-bats, adding a pair of doubles… Plated six runs on the year… Held a slugging percentage of .311, and registered an on-base percentage of .371 for the season… Drew six walks and was hit by a pitch three times… Recorded one stolen base… Had eight putouts and an assist, logging a .889 fielding percentage for the year… Picked up a 2-for-4 night with two runs, a RBI and a double at UCF (Feb. 25)… Picked up back-to-back two-hit performances against Maine (March 4) and the first game of a doubleheader against North Carolina Central (March 7)… Plated a season-best two runs in the game against Maine… Went 2-for-3 at the dish in the second game of a doubleheader at North Carolina Central (April 11)… Posted his second double of the year in that contest against the Eagles… Had a season-high three hits against Florida A&M in the title series of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) in Salisbury, Maryland…

Brener… Played catcher and in the outfield all four years in high school… Batted .430 across 41 games and posted four home runs in 2011… Finished his career with seven home runs and a .405 batting average… Three-time district champion in baseball and basketball… Appeared once in the state semifinals in baseball, adding two semifinals appearances in basketball… Held an on-base average of .750 as a senior…

Son of Marchell Gathers and Sandy Quinn… Has three siblings, Sandy Quinn III, Javiun (13) and Langston (23)… Picked up community service hours volunteering at the local nursing home… Enjoys going fishing and playing basketball when he is not on the baseball field… Chose to attend B-CU because of the winning tradition of the baseball team, as well as doing something different from his family that all went to Florida A&M… Lists hitting a walk-off home run in the second round of the state FHSAA playoffs during his freshman year as his favorite sports memory… Says Chipper Jones is his favorite athlete… Favorite sports team is the Atlanta Braves… Favorite magazine is Sports Illustrated
