Pitched in 8 games as a sophomore, starting 6, finishing with a 3-2 record on the year...Had an ERA of 4.45 with 24 strikeouts in 30.1 innings pitched...Batters facing Gonzalez averaged .178 at the plate...Started and pitched in two MEAC games, with an ERA of 1.29, with opposing batters hitting .091...Only allowed two hits in 7 MEAC innings pitched...Collected 7 strikeouts in a on ehitter victory over VCU (3/14). FRESHMAN YEAR - 2009
Struck out 17 batters as a frosh in 14.1 innings, all in relief...Struck out three in one inning vs. Xavier (3/6) and also had two K's in an inning vs. Coppin State (4/18), and Delaware State (5/2)...Pitched in 13 games for the Wildcats and came back from an early season arm injury...Was in a 10-0 combined shutout win over UMES with Joey Munoz and Andrew Tilka for former Coach Mervyl Melendez' 300th win (4/26)
