Kenny Strong is entering his 19th coaching season and first season with the Wildcats as an Offensive Analyst.
Strong spent the last 4 seasons as the Running Backs Coach at Southeastern University where he developed 3 All-Conference running backs from 2022 through 2025 and helped produce the 9th ranked rushing offense in the nation in NAIA. He also earned a reputation as an “elite recruiter” and signed over 30 athletes to continue their academic and athletic careers. His success in recruiting was a major contributor to SEU securing the top transfer portal class in NAIA for consecutive seasons.
Prior to SEU, Strong was the Head Coach at Kathleen High School in Lakeland and worked at Lakeland High School helping the Dreadnaughts win a 7A State Championship in 2018. Strong coached at Lake Gibson High School where they were the 6A State Runner-Up in 2016. He has experience coordinating all 3 phases in addition to working at Bartow, Auburndale, West Gadsden, and LaBelle High Schools.
Strong was born in Lakeland, FL and is a 2004 graduate of Lakeland High where he was a five-sport letterman in football, basketball, track & field, weightlifting, and wrestling while also being a member of the National Honor Society.
Strong attended Florida A&M University on an academic scholarship and graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education.
Strong has two sons, Kenneth III and Kyree Strong.
