Tavarius Jackson joins the Wildcats after spending the past two season as an assistant with the Charleston Southern Buccaneers.
Jackson comes to BCU by way of CSU, Atlantic Community High School, XPE Sports South Florida, and West Boca High School.

Jackson served as the Head Football Coach at Atlantic Community from 2013-2021 where he was a two-time Palm Beach County Coach of the Year after earning the honors in both 2015 & 2017. He is a six-time nominee for the Lou Groza Coach of the Year and received the award in 2015 from the Palm Beach County Sports Commission.

Atlantic Community was a six-time District Champion under his tenure on the sideline and posted undefeated regular seasons in both 2015 and 2018. ACHS also appeared in the 2017 state championship game, before earning the Tri-County State Team Championship in 2020.
Prior to his time on the sidelines at ACHS, he served as the founder and CEO of XPE Sports South Florida. His focus was on combine training with an emphasis in speed and agility, while working with defensive backs, linebackers, and running backs on position drills.
He served as the linebackers and running backs coach at West Boca High School from 2003-05 where he taught run-fit and gap assignments. He also assisted with players in understanding and recognizing passing drops and coverages, while also teaching how to study and break down game film.

Jackson lined up on the Virginia Tech football team from 1998-2001. The VT football team posted a 39-9 record over his four years with the Hokies with VT playing Florida State for the 1999 BCS National Championship Game.

He was a storied athlete in high school coming out of Olympic Heights in Boca Raton, Fla. He earned Palm Beach County Player of the Year recognition and was ranked the No. 16 Player in Florida by Super Prep and the No. 16 Defensive Back in the Nation. He was also listed by Tom Lemming as the No. 11 safety in the country.

He graduated with his degree in Business Management with an emphasis in residential property management from Virginia Tech in December 2001.
