Todney Evans begins his first season on the Bethune-Cookman University football staff handling defensive quality control.
Evans was a four-year standout at Bethune-Cookman on the defensive line, garnering a berth on the 2017 All-Mideastern Athletic Conference second team. He played a key role in the Wildcats' 33-19 Florida Blue Florida Classic over Florida A&M, making two big defensive plays in the red zone that denied the Rattlers scoring opportunities.
Prior to BCU, Evans attended Middle Tennessee State.
A native of Delray Beach, Evans played his high school at Atlantic HS, registering 134 tackles and 31 sacks his junior and senior years, earning area Defensive Player Of The Year in 2012. He also excelled in basketball, garnering two all-county recognitions.
He received his Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and is working on his Master's in Criminal Justice Administration.
