Saw action in four games for the Wildcats • Used primarily on special teams and special cover situations • Collected a primary tackle against Alabama State in the season-opening victory as part of the MEAC/SWAC Challenge game in Orlando • Also collected playing time in games against South Carolina State, Miami and Florida A&M.
Central Michigan
Appeared in just a single game for CMU on the course of the 2011 campaign • Bounced back from a 2009 season-ending injury to appear in all 12 games for the Chippewas in 2010 • Saw first game action of the season, coming off injury, in win the against Hampton • Forced a fumble at Eastern Michigan, the first of his career • Made a career-high four tackles at Northern Illinois • Totaled nine tackles on the year as a redshirt sophomore • Granted a medical hardship waiver after just a single game in 2009 • Played in eight games as a true freshman in 2008 • Spent time primarily on special teams • Credited with two tackles in his rookie campaign.
Dillard High School
Graduated from Ft. Lauderdale's Dillard High School in 2008, where he played under coach Keith Franklin • Carter was selected to play in the Miami Dade-Broward All-Star Game • Was quite accomplished on the track as well, as a member of the nationally first-ranked 4x100m relay team • Coming out of high school, he had offers from schools in the Sun Belt, MAC, Big EAST, and Conference-USA before signing to attend Central Michigan.
