One of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference’s most consistent kickers • Ranks 10th all-time in school history for scoring with 167 points • Third in school history for point-after-attempts with 125 • Has the second-best percentage of made extra points in school history (125 of 129, 96.9%).

2012 – Junior Season
Utilized as the team’s main place-kicker for the third consecutive season • Converted 6 of 13 field goal attempts, including a long of 42, as well as 45 extra point attempts • Also the team’s kickoff specialist • Finished the regular season with a 55.5-yard average on kickoffs with six touchbacks • Hit on 4 of 6 attempts on the year from 20-29 yards • Connected on a 24-yarder in a critical MEAC game on the road at Morgan State • Punched him a season-long and career-long tying 42-yard field goal at Hampton, including hitting all four of his extra point attempts • Booted a 31-yarder at BCS opponent Miami (Fla.), bringing the game to within 24-10 midway through the fourth quarter • Made field goals of 28 and 23 as well as all three PAT attempts in the win at South Carolina State • Registered a 20-yard field goal and all five extra point attempts in the season-opening win over Alabama State.

2011 – Sophomore Season
Executed kicking duties in all 11 games on the year • Connected 7 of 13 successful field goals, with his longest of 42 yards at North Carolina A&T • Was 46-of-47 on extra points for the year • Led the team and was fifth in the MEAC in scoring with 67 points • Executed 69 kickoffs for 4,019 yards, averaging 58.2 yards per kickoff, with two touchbacks • Named MEAC Co-Special Teams Player of the Week (10/17) • Hurd set the B-CU single-game kick scoring record with 16 points coming in a 58-30 win over Fort Valley State • Claimed the B-CU single-season kick scoring record at 67 points.

2010 – Redshirt Freshman Season
Played in eight games for the Wildcats as a place kicker • Recorded a school record 10 PATs against Edward Waters and earned MEAC Rookie of the Week for the performance • Registered five kickoffs for 297 yards in that game against the Tigers • Made 34-of-36 PATs on the year and a crucial 27 yard field goal at North Carolina Central • Redshirted in 2009.

Pine Forest High School
Played four years at Pine Forest High School in his hometown of Pensacola, Fla. • Selected as an All-Panhandle kicker and punter as a junior and senior.
