Returned 19 punts for 259 yards – Both MEAC highs – and averaged 13.6 yards per return…Had a punt return 20 yards or longer in seven games…Had three returns for 65 yards, including a season-long 30 yarder at Howard …Named 1^st Team All-MEAC for punt returns by Phil Steele …Also saw time at wide receiver, catching 8 passes for 47 yards … Had three catches for 17 yards against Miami.

2018 -- Freshman Season
Appeared in one game -- caught an 18-yard pass at Nebraska

A two-star cornerback that also received offers from Missouri, FAU, Kentucky, Troy, Marshall and Eastern Illinois… Also starred on special teams and offense at both Hillsborough and previous school – Jefferson High School… Under Hillsborough Head Coach Earl Garcia, led the Terriers to an 8-4 record and rushed for 797 yards and six touchdowns on 102 carries, while also completing a pair of passes for 93 yards and a touchdown… Totaled four (4) 100-yard rushing games… Also caught eight passes for 106 yards and a touchdown… A lockdown cornerback who tallied three interceptions and 101 return yards while making eight tackles in limited targets… For Jefferson High in 2015, he led the team at quarterback by completing 78 of 134 passes for 1552 yards and 11 touchdowns… Averaged 141.5 yards per game and had a 110.7 QB rating with just five interceptions… Also carried the ball 118 times for 611 yards and five scores with a pair of 100-yard rushing performances… On special teams, Spain racked up 145 kickoff return yards and 181 punt return yards… Made six stops and one interception on the defensive side of the ball…
