High School: Played for Desert Vista High's championship-caliber teams, making it to the Playoff Quarterfinals in 2008-09 and Semifinals in 2009-10...The 09-10 team went on to the Nike Tournament of Champions, where the Thunder were Blue Division Champions, and Austen was named the tournament MVP for the Blue Division...Harris also earned Fiesta All-Region Honorable Mention from 2008-10...Harris completed her graduation requirements early in July of 2009, finishing out her high school playing days after initially committing to the United State Military Academy at West Point...After DVHS, Harris attended the United State Military Academy Prep School for half of the year...

Cousin, Jermaine Smith, played four years of football at Washington...very active in extracurricular activities beyond sports in high school, including Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA), Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (JROTC), Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA)...also has worked with charities and causes, working with Jerry Lewis' Muscular Dystrophy campaigns and as a volunteer at Susan G.
