Freshman Season (2012-13):
Played in 12 games in her rookie campaign with the Lady Wildcats, working her way into the starting rotation as point guard for four games before an ankle injury sidelined her until the final game of the year…Playing 15.1 minutes per game, she averaged 3.4 points and 1.8 rebounds, with 1.6 assists…Set a career scoring high of nine (9) points with four (4) assists against Edward Waters (12/11), shooting a perfect 3-for-3 from the field and 3-for-4 from the free throw line…Grabbed a career-high four (4) rebounds in two games, at Florida A&M (1/7) and at UCF (12/2)…Snagged two (2) steals in three games.
High School:
Played for the Admirals of Severn School under coach Chuck Miller, closing out her career by leading SS to an MIAA Conference A Championship, averaging 14 points per game in her senior season...Earned Second Team All-County honors and played in both the Anne Arundel County Senior All-Star basketball game and the Under Armour I-95 Elite Challenge on the Baltimore Roster...She was a member of the Honor Roll and Head Masters List at Severn...Active in the Multi-Cultural Alliance and Schools for Schools...Was ranked 29th in Real Basketball Reports’ regional standings.

Born December 26, 1994 in Easton, Md., she is the daughter of Dion Blackwell and Monica Gibson-Blackwell...Her cousin is former WNBA player and current Syracuse assistant coach Kelley Gibson...Very active in community service feeding the hungry, volunteering at nursing homes and babysitting...Also recruited by Loyola (Md.), Navy, Towson, St. Francis (Pa.) and Stony Brook...Chose Bethune-Cookman for the school’s heritage and to be close to the beach...Cites her parents as her biggest athletic influence because, “they push so that I can be the best person I can be, and also they will always find great opportunities for me”...Notes her favorite athlete as Carmelo Anthony, because of his ability to score, his competiveness and desire to win...Competed on a 14U State Championship team and was MVP of the Maryland Elite Camp...Is majoring in Biology at Bethune-Cookman and plans to use her degree to become an anesthesiologist.
