Freshman Season (2010-11): Was at Stetson University in the fall semester. Did not play, and transferred to Bethune-Cookman in the spring.

High School: Lettered all four years at DHS, leading the team to the Class 5A Final Four in 2008 and Regional Finals in 2009...She set a school record for rebounds in a game with 30 on her Senior Night (double-double with 27 points)...won awards as Most Improved Player, Defensive Player...

Personal: Born May 2, 1992 in Greensboro, N.C. and is the daughter of Linda Burns...Graduate of Duluth High, where she graduated with Honors after holding a 4.0 GPA all four years...The first woman in her family to attend college on a full athletic scholarship...Is the niece of former New York Jets offensive lineman Lamont Burns...twice named a All-County Academic Athlete/Scholar Athlete...participated in multiple academic extracurricular activities, including Peer Leadership Group, Beta Club, and was active as a tutor and member of the W.E.B. Dubois Society...Chose B-CU because "I love the tradition in the school and the family-oriented environment"...Cites her uncle, Lamont, as her greatest athletic influence, because "he coached me, mentored me, and influenced me to be the player I am today"...her early goal is to have the best rebounding percentage on the team and wants to use her B-CU degree to become a veterinarian...previously attended Stetson University.
