The daughter of George and Shari Redmon, Kiara was born October 29, 1991 in Houston, Texas...Chose B-CU over Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Alabama-Birmingham, Santa Clara, UMKC and San Diego, because, "from my visit, I already felt as if I’d been at B-CU for years. It had an amazing family atmosphere and a unity among students that you wouldn’t feel anywhere else"...Her father played football at Stephen F. Austin (1983-87), and Kiara cites him as her biggest athletic influence because, “as a college athlete himself, he had a lot of success at SFA and won a championship.
