Biography

Redshirt Junior Season (2012-13): Logged five (5) rebounds at Jacksonville with a pair (2) of steals • Collected seven (7) boards and six (6) points vs. Florida Atlantic • Shot a perfect 3-of-3 from the field vs. Stetson, scoring six (6) points and leading the team with 10 rebounds • Colected a career-high 11 rebounds vs. Ball State, along with season-highs of six (6) steals and three (3) assists, also scored five (5) • In her first game back from injury, she scored a eight (8) points, along with five (5) rebounds, hitting a perfect 4-of-4 free throws • Against Georgia Southern she scored a career-high nine (9) points with five (5) rebounds • Matched her career high with nine (9) points against Holy Cross

Redshirt Sophomore Season (2011-12): Played in all 29 games for the Lady Wildcats, starting in nine at forward...averaged 3.7 points per game on the season, but improved to 5.2 PPG when she played over 20 minutes a game...Neal was sixth on the team in scoring for the campaign...she was fifth on the team in rebounding with a 3.1 RPG average...had her best game of the season with a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds against Palm Beach Atlantic (11/22/11), shooting 62.5 percent from the floor...she shot 75 percent from the free throw line (3-for-4) in three different games, at USF (11/17/11), Kent State (12/30/11) and Savannah State (1/16/12)...named to the MEAC Commissioner's Academic All-MEAC team

Sophomore Season (2010-11): Did not play and redshirted during her second season with the Lady Wildcats.

Freshman Season (2009-10): Started out the season as a walk-on, collecting very little playing time, but proved her value once on the court more often, playing extensive minutes later in the year (playing 9.1 average minutes on the season, but 17.4 in the final eight games)...though only averaging 2.3 PPG and 1.9 RPG on the year, Neal collected 4.4 points and 3.7 rebounds per game in the final eight games...wrapped up the season leading the team in field goal percentage at 50 percent...her biggest game of the year came in the final regular season game at rival Florida A&M (3/4/10), in which she collected 9 points (also against Hampton, 2/20/10) on 6 made field goals, 7 rebounds (also against Howard, 2/22/10), 2 steals, and a blocked shot.

High School: Four-year letterwinner at Miami Northwestern Senior High School...helped to lead her team to a 17-5 record in 2007-08, finishing as District runner-up and Regional quarterfinalist runner-up...participated in the Dade vs. Broward All-Star Game...On her team, she was awarded the MVP Coaches', Powerhouse Player, Most Dedicated, and Scholar Athlete Awards...Sharnese was on the Honor Roll, received Student of the month recognition, and was a Top 15 percent Honor Graduate with a 3.8 GPA.

Personal: The daughter of Sylvia Morrow and Willie Neal...Born May 30, 1991, in Miami, Florida...Chose B-CU because, "I wanted to attend the best HBCU"...Sharnese has been influenced athletically by her family and coaches, she says, because, "they encourage me and they are there to pick me up when I fall"...her athletic goal at B-CU is to contribute and help the team to win the MEAC tournament and top the previous record...Sharnese is the cousin of recent former Lady Wildcat, forward Cleniece Roberts...She is the youngest of all her mother's children and the first to attend college...wants to use her B-CU degree to become a homicide detective.
