Bethune-Cookman University Athletics

Alvaro Sanchez begins his fourth season with the Bethune-Cookman University volleyball program.

Sanchez came to B-CU from Florida International, where he served  three years years, first as a volunteer assistant than as video coordinator.

Active in the Miami volleyball circles. Sanchez coached the Miami Select Volleyball Program from 2007.

As a High School coach, Sanchez helped the Miami Killian volleyball teams win three district champions with the team advancing to the Florida state final four. He repeated that feat at Miami Palmetto with the boys team in 2015.

He started his coaching career at Our Lady of Lourdes Academy in 2005, helping that program grow from a 3A team to a 6A squad.

Sanchez earned his Bachelor's Degree from FIU in 2016.
