First Game of MEAC Tournament Delayed Until Noon Start Time

May 17, 2007

Norfolk, Va. - The first game of the 2007 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament has been delayed until a noon start time due to heavy rain in the Tidewater area. The rain began falling last night late, but the field cover was not placed on the grounds of Marty L. Miller Stadium in Norfolk, Va. ... though that might have done little if any for the amount of badly needed rain that fell in the area since last night until a little after 10 a.m. this morning.

Francisco Rodriguez is set to take the hill for the Wildcats when the game begins, while Dustin Longchamps is slated to be the starter for the Hawks of the University of Maryland-Eastern Shore.

The game is, once again, scheduled for a noon start time between Bethune-Cookman and the University of Maryland-Eastern Shore in the first contest of this year's MEAC Baseball Tournament. This is a rematch of last year's championship game between the Hawks and Wildcats.

Live stats will be available through Gametracker on the B-CU athletic website.
