TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Posting their lowest team round under Head Coach Loritz Clark, the Bethune-Cookman women convincingly took top honors at the Florida A&M Spring Invitational Sunday.
Marie Bergelin took medalist honors with a 74-73-147 as the Wildcats outdistance Alabama State 762-939 and won their second straight tournament of the spring season.
Bergelin's two-round total was the lowest for any B-CU golfer this season.
"She's much improved," Clark said of Bergelin. "She's more committed to the workout and is really dialed in this semester."
On Saturday, Estefania Acosta fired a one-under 71 - the lowest B-CU individual single round of the season - as B-CU posted a team total of 293. Acosta would garner runner-up honors with a 150.
Other B-CU scores: Patrizia Trevisan and Andrea Orozco at 151 and Vanessa Adarme at 163.
