2025 Fall Slate for Women’s Golf Unveiled

New faces to drive Cats across four events

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Under the direction of Head Coach Harry Stokes, Bethune-Cookman Women's Golf announced the fall portion of the 2025-26 schedule on Tuesday afternoon, as the Wildcats will compete in four fall events altogether.

Stokes, set to begin his fifth season at the helm in Daytona Beach, welcomes almost an entirely new team for th3 2025-26 campaign, with the departure of players such as Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Champion Katie Robinson, Kamary Leaf and Meeya Marquez.

The Wildcats begin the fall slate taking place in the Third Annual Bridgestone HBCU Invitational (Sept. 3-4) in Suwanee, Georgia. The tournament – housed at Laurel Springs Golf Club – serves as an element of the Bridgestone Collegiate Development Program, part of the PGA TOUR's Pathway to Progression, which aims to achieve greater diversity in golf through increased focus on developing talent from diverse and historically underrepresented groups.

"We're set up very well this fall with a good mix of golf courses and competition," admits Stokes, the 2024 SWAC Co-Coach of the Year. "I'm very excited to play the Bridgestone for the first time, and that event should be a nice measuring stick for us right out of the gate."

The second event of the fall sees the Cats travel to Lopatcong, New Jersey, site of the PCT Autumn Harvest (Sept. 29-30). The entire field for the event will be divulged at a later date, as well as the home course for the 54-hole tournament.

For the second consecutive year, B-CU travels to Manhattan, Kansas for the Powercat Invitational (Oct. 20-21) hosted by Kansas State at Colbert Hils Golf Course. Last season, the Cats participated in the event for the first time, as Katie Robinson led all performers with a three-round 246 (+30). Skylar Kew totaled a 259 (+43) to rank third on the list of Maroon and Gold scorers.

"When you add in K-State's event in Manhattan [Kansas], the first three events of the season are a nice combination of high-pressure events on difficult golf courses, and they should sharpen us right up for the championship season in the spring," remarked Stokes.

The final fall event will see Bethune-Cookman travel to the French Broad Collegiate Invitational hosted by UNC Asheville in Arden, North Carolina. Last season, the event was canceled due to the horrific effects of Hurricane Helene in and around the Buncombe County area. The 2025 tournament is running at The Cliffs at Walnut Cove – Golf Course & Clubhouse.

"Personally, I am very excited for our trip to New Jersey as that's close to home for me, and the golf course is going to be interesting," continued Stokes. "Adding to that, to finish the fall off with the French Broad Collegiate – after its cancellation last year, is going to be a great way to head into the winter break.

"I'm excited about the team, and I think the fall offers us a good bit of growth potential."
