TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Wildcats wrapped competition early at the two-day 34th annual FSU Relays, as the second day of competition was rained out following the conclusion of the high school division of the 300 meter hurdles, cutting B-CU's performances to just one beyond the opening day. However, eight Wildcats athletes competed on Friday, turning in five top-15 performances.

The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) record holder in the event, senior Kadian Dunkley led the Wildcats at the meet with her fourth place performance in the 3,000m steeplechase, finishing in a time of 11:23.80.

Fellow MEAC record holder Sasha Smallwood also hit her primary event, finishing sixth in the pole vault, hitting a height of 3.56m (11-08.00 ft.).

On the men's side, Junior Saint Preux finished fifth in 110m hurdles with a time of 14.52 seconds.

Garrett Ellis was 11th in the 400m dash with a time of 49.30.

La'Quan Howard topped the Wildcats in the men's long jump, hitting a mark of 6.40m (21-00.00 ft.), while Deidra Jordan was 17th in the women's long jump with a distance of 5.23m (17-02.00 ft.).

B-CU's lone Saturday competitor, Barry Kimbrough set a new personal record in the discus, finishing sixth with a mark of 46.06m (151-01 ft.).

The Wildcats return to action next weekend, traveling to Jacksonville for the North Florida Invitational on Friday and Saturday (March 29-30), when B-CU will return to complete-team competition.

“We look for the entire team to do well at UNF next weekend,” Head Coach Donald Cooper said.
