BOCA RATON, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman concluded the opening day of the 2013 season with a 3-0 (25-13,25-13,25-9) loss to Southeast Louisiana Friday at the FAU Invitational.
Sophomores Delicia Pierre and Rhea Simon each had five kills for the Wildcats, who dropped a 3-1 decision to Jacksonville in the tournament opener Friday morning. Freshman Lauren Turner, who started in the place of injured Phylecia Armstrong, had four kills.
Alexas Thomas and Jill Arlaud, also both freshmen, posted 15 assists and eight digs, respectively.
Elizabeth Ramee led SLU (1-1) with nine kills.
The Wildcats meet host FAU in the tournament finale Saturday at 3 p.m.
