Ashanti Hunt and
Angel Golden each scored 12 points as Bethune-Cookman defeated Maryland-Eastern Shore 55-48 in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference game Monday night.

Hunt was 10-14 from the line, including 5-6 in the final 3:57 as the Lady Wildcats (11-4 overall, 3-0 MEAC) pulled away from a 48-48 tie en route to a sweep their first MEAC road trip of the season.

Bethune-Cookman has now won 13 consecutive conference games dating back to last year and 11 league road games dating back to 2016

Chasimmie Brown's jumper with 1:04 remaining was Bethune-Cookman's lone field goal in the fourth quarter. The Lady Wildcats' defense held the Hawks (3-12,0-3) without a field goal the final 9:08 and to 2-15 shooting from the field the entire quarter.

Amaya Scott and
Kanesha Battle added nine and eight points, respectively in key contributions off the bench.
Battle hit two three pointers and
Emily Williams one in a 9-2 Bethune-Cookman run that gave the Lady Wildcats a 38-34 lead with 5:45 remaining in the third quarter. A Scott lay-up put B-CU ahead 45-39 with 1:35 left in the period.

Golden scored all her points in the first half as Bethune-Cookman managed a 28-27 halftime lead. Brown scored eight points.
