Sterling Williamson finished with 13 kills as Bethune-Cookman downed Savannah State 3-0 (25-16,25-23,25-14) in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Southern Division Sunday afternoon in Historic Moore Gymnasium.
The Lady Wildcats (10-11 overall, 3-2 MEAC) improved to 13-0 in home conference matches in Moore Gym in the
Brittany Williams era as they won their third straight league to match to complete the first half of conference play one match behind North Carolina A&T and a half-match behind Florida A&M for the division's top seed at the conference tournament next month.

J'nai Higgins 34 assists and nine digs as B-CU held Savannah State (2-15,1-3) to an .071 hitting percentage.
Savannah State trimmed an 18-11 deficit to 18-15 in the opener before the Lady Wildcats closed the set with a 7-1 run. In the second set, B-CU capitalized on two Tiger kill errors to pull away from a 21-21 tie. B-CU jumped out to a 12-5 third set advantage.
Noria Ceballos Plaza led Savannah State with seven kills.
Bethune-Cookman hosts Florida Gulf Coast Tuesday.
