DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman's hopes of winning Juan Varon Wildcat Invitational flights faded Saturday morning.
The doubles tandems of
Phatsimo Ruele and
Karen Romero and
Victor Bravo and
Jose Plazas each fell in their semifinal matches while Plazas, the last Wildcat standing in singles play, also dropped his semifinal match.
Ruele was a flight winner in both singles and doubles last year.
The 20-team tournament concludes Sunday morning at Florida Tennis Centers with doubles finals beginning at 9 a.m.
