DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Jordan Jefferson posted a 14-kill, 12-dig double-double and set Bethune-Cookman's single-season digs record in the Lady Wildcats' 3-0 (25-23,25-21,25-19) home finale loss to Jacksonville Tuesday in Moore Gym.
The sophomore from San Antonio now has 404 digs on the year, eclipsing the previous mark of 397 set by Normarie Rolon in 2015. This also was her 28th career double-double.
Sterling Williamson added five kills, Skyla Whittaker nine digs, and
Faith Landreneaux eight kills and three blocks as Bethune-Cookman (13-14) wrapped up its home schedule with a 5-3 mark.
Hannah Marchard had 12 kills for Jacksonville (4-21) while Natalie Wehner finished with 22 digs.
Bethune-Cookman travels to Florida A&M for a first-place Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Southern Division showdown Friday at 6 p.m. Â
