BALTIMORE -- Chasimmie Brown posted her third consecutive double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds, and Bethune-Cookman had three other players in double figures as the Lady Wildcats outlasted Coppin State 71-65 in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference game Monday.

Brown had nine points and five rebounds in the fourth quarter, while Golden had eight points.
BCU scored the first 11 points of the third quarter to turn its 28-25 halftime lead into a 39-25 advantage on Scott's lay-up with 6:57 left.
Fields led Coppin State with 23.
BCU returns home Saturday to face North Carolina Central to start a four-game home stand.
HEAD COACH VANESSA BLAIR-LEWIS
"We did a great job piecing together two road wins this weekend. Any time you can do that is excellent, especially
for a team that's riddled with injuries having to gel during the middle of the season.:
"We were in a stalemate early on. We made some changes to push the break. Turnovers and quick shots by them led to layups for us."
"Cam Harris gave us a spark off the bench. She pushed the tempo every quarter, which allowed players to get shots at the rim."
"Amaya had a great weekend. "
"We're getting a chemistry. We're taking it one game at a time."
NOTES: BCU has now won 11 straight over Morgan State and Coppin State dating back to 2013...This was Harris' third double-figure scoring game of the season...Brown now has 12 career double-doubles...Golden is now 24-26 from the line in MEAC play.
