DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Angel Golden posted career highs of 33 points and six steals as Bethune-Cookman won its third straight with a 72-54 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference victory over North Carolina Central Saturday afternoon.
The senior from Tampa scored 17 points on 6-6 shooting in the first quarter and made her first seven shots as she finished with B-CU's highest single-game scoring total since Katie Clark vs. Howard on January 21, 2006. She moved into sixth on the all-time scoring list with 1,207 points, surpassing Carmen Sanders and Gwen Williams (1,188).

Camary Harris finished with 10 points and eight assists, and senior
Chasimmie Brown had 10 points and nine rebounds -- one shy of her fourth straight double-double as BCU (12-8 overall, 5-3 MEAC) used an 11-0 run to start the third quarter to blow open a 39-28 halftime game. BCU was 60 percent from the field (9-15) and held the Eagles (5-16,2-6) to 3-12 shooting from the field as it outscored the visitors 27-14.
The Lady Wildcats led by as many as 28 in the fourth quarter.
Amani Ball and
Amaya Scott each added six points for the Lady Wildcats.
Rodneysha Martin led the Eagles with 16.
