DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Miranda White had nine kills and two services aces in Bethune-Cookman's 3-0 (25-16,25-21,25-22) to Jacksonville Tuesday evening in Moore Gym.
Sydney Bolding led the Dolphins (5-11) with 17 kills while Mallory Mattingly added 14.
Ryleigh Taylor double-doubled for the Lady Wildcats (4-11) with 17 kills and 15 digs while
Shayla Eugene posted 11 digs.
Bailey Robinson had six kills and two service aces for BCU, while
Sterling Williamson had five kills.
BCU had a 14-11 lead in the first set, but Jacksonville rallied to regain the lead at 15-14, then pulled away from a 16-16 tie with a 9-0 run to close the set.
A Robinson service ace gave BCU a 12-6 second set lead, but the Dolphins would later turn a 16-12 deficit into to a 21-16 advantage.
BCU erased a 22-18 third set deficit to tie it at 22-22 on a Williamson kill before Jacksonville closed the match with three unanswered points.
The Lady Wildcats travel to Orangeburg, S.C. Friday for a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference match at South Carolina State.
