DOVER, Del. – Faith Landreneaux made her return to the Bethune-Cookman line-up Friday, but the Lady Wildcats dropped a 3-0 (25-19,25-12,25-23) Mid-Athletic Conference setback at Delaware State.
The junior, who had missed the last six matches, finished with three kills, two service aces and six digs, but BCU (6-18 overall, 3-6 MEAC) dropped its fourth straight.
Jordan Jefferson and
Miranda White each had four kills for the Lady Wildcats. Jefferson also six digs, putting her 19 away from the 1,000 career mark.
Shayla Eugene had 13 digs and
Alleah Dallas four blocks for BCU.
Jordan Vang had 14 kills and three services as Delaware State (9-15,4-5) rallied from a 14-7 third set deficit in the first meeting between the teams since 2013.
BCU travels to Maryland-Eastern Shore Sunday.
