TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Faith Landreneaux had 13 kills and
Jordan Jefferson 10 as Bethune-Cookman downed arch-rival Florida A&M 3-1 (26-24,23-25,25-20,26-24) in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference match Friday night.
The Lady Wildcats (8-20 overall, 5-7 MEAC) won in Tallahassee for the second time in program history and managed a season split against the Rattlers (9-19,6-6) in the first time in the series where the visiting team won the matches.

Brittany Williams. "This team is capable of performing at a high level on both the offensive and defensive end and tonight we proved that!"
Landreneaux hit .571 and Jefferson posted 13 digs for her 42nd career double-double as the Lady Wildcats erased an 18-13 deficit in the fourth set as Skylar Whitaker's service ace capped off an 8-0 run to give BCU a 21-18 lead.
Florida A&M managed ties at 21-21, 23-21, and 24-24 after
Alleah Dallas brought BCU to match point, but two attack errors gave the Lady Wildcats the fourth set and the victory.
Landreneaux had a kill and a block for BCU's final two points of its first set win.
In the third set, BCU jumped out to a 16-9 lead on a Dallas kill. Florida A&M got as close as 19-17 and 23-20 but could pull no closer.
Dallas finished with nine kills. While
Sterling Williamson had seven.
Shayla Eugene had 20 digs while
Ryleigh Taylor posted 21 assists.
BCU continues its road trip Saturday at 1 p.m. against Jacksonville.
