DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman University Head Volleyball Coach
Brittany Williams today [April 19, 2019] announced the signing of Alleah Dallas to a National Letter of Intent (NLI).
Â
Dallas was a two-time MVP for Kempner HS (Sugar Land,Tex.) and a 2018 All-District selection. She posted 317 kills and 91 blocks her senior year.
Â
She earned Academic All-District awards in both volleyball and basketball during her playing career at Kempner. She was a four-year letter winner in both sports.
Dallas becomes the fourth signee in the 2018-19 recruiting class, joining Nadia Pace, Julie Piedra and Bailey Robinson, who signed back in November. Williams has designated this class as "four-tified."
Â
"Alleah is a super athletic and dynamic middle blocker playing in a highly competitive Houston volleyball area," Williams said. "I'm enjoying the fact that my high school playing days were at Stephen F. Austin, which is Kempner's archrival and now we're working together to bring a championship to BCU.
Â
"She joins a class that is defensive-oriented, and that's why we've come up with 'four-tified' as the theme," Williams added. "We feel that we've become a stronger unit in both facets of the game."
Â
BCU finished the 2018 campaign with a 16-16, its best record since 2004, and a berth in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference tournament semifinals.Â
