SAVANNAH, Ga. – Bethune-Cookman clinched a berth in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference tournament with a 7-0 victory over Savannah State Sunday afternoon.
Michelle Ncube remained unbeaten in league play (4-0 in both singles and doubles) as the Lady Wildcats (5-9 overall, 2-2 MEAC Southern Division) posted their second 7-0 victory in league play.
Ncube also improved her singles winning streak to seven and her doubles streak with
Karen Romero to six.
With her 6-2, 6-1 victory over Christy Turner at No. 5 singles, Romero has now won three straight.
Rehaana Butt and
Chalina Godbolt also won both their matches for BCU.
The Lady Wildcats conclude their regular season on April 15 at home against South Carolina State.
