BOCA RATON, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman University's Jordan Jefferson and Shayla Eugene were named to the Owls Classic All-Tournament team Saturday after the Lady Wildcats concluded their stay with a 3-0 (25-18,25-23,25-9) loss to host Florida Atlantic.

Freshman Bailey Robinson had four kills and three blocks, while Tynesha Adams added three kills and two blocks as the Lady Wildcats (2-6) dropped their third match at the tournament.

Celebrating her birthday, sophomore Jade Smith had a team-high four blocks while freshman Julie Piedra served two aces and posted six digs. Eugene finished with 10 digs.

BCU erased a 17-11 deficit in the second set, taking a 20-19 lead on a Eugene ace and then 21-19 on an FAU attack error and 22-20 on a service error. The Owls (6-2) closed the set with a 5-1 run.

The Lady Wildcats complete the tournament portion of their schedule next week in Mobile, Ala., facing  Nichols State, Louisiana Tech and host South Alabama.
