MOBILE, Ala. – Bailey Robinson had 13 kills, but Bethune-Cookman couldn't deliver a victory over Louisiana Tech in the final match of the South Alabama Invitational, dropping a 3-1 (25-21,25-19,22-25,25-20) decision Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Wildcats finished the weekend 1-2, registering a win over Nicholls State Friday.
BCU (3-8) extended the match with a third set victory that saw the Lady Wildcats take early leads of 7-3 and 15-8. Louisiana Tech closed to 23-22, but two Alleah Davis kills sent the match to a fourth set.
Faith Landreneaux added eight kills and two blocks,
Jordan Jefferson seven kills and 17 digs and
Tynesha Adams five kills and five blocks.
Named to the all-tournament team,
Ryleigh Taylor had 12 assists and seven digs.
BCU hosts South Florida in its home opener Tuesday at 6 p.m.
