DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman University placed four student-athletes on the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Women's All-Conference Basketball Team, it was announced today [March 6, 2020].
Leading the way was junior
Amaya Scott, who was selected to the First Team. The forward from Sunrise, Fla., led the MEAC in field goal percentage (.533) and was the Lady Wildcats' leading scorer with an average of 13.1 points per game. She scored in double figures in all 16 conference games this year.
Ashanti Hunt was named a Second Team selection. The 2018 MEAC Defensive Player Of The Year once again was a key factor in the Lady Wildcats' 15-1 league record  in which they held opponents under 40 percent field goal shooting 14 times. Hunt averaged 8.0 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.
Daniella Hatcher garnered a berth on the Third Team. The redshirt junior from Orlando averaged 11.7 points and 4.0 rebounds and posted the team's best single-game scoring total with 27 against South Carolina State on Feb. 22.
Freshman
Tatum Hayes was named to the All-Rookie Team. The Fort Myers product was ninth in the MEAC with 37 three-pointers and shot .336 from behind the arc.
Ranked 16
th in the nation and regular season champions for the fourth time in five years, the Lady Wildcats open their MEAC tournament play Wednesday at noon in Norfolk, Va.
